December 18, 2008 Regular Meeting Agenda Item #10 Item Title C-9 VECHS User Agreement: Volunteer & Employee Criminal History System Issue/Rationale The Department of Education has notified our district that "volunteers" cannot be fingerprinted using the present fingerprinting procudures we have in place.  Volunteers can only be fingerprinted using the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) VECHS (Volunteer & Employee Criminal History System).  To utilize this fingerprinting system requires the Clay County District Schools to formally approve a "user agreement" much as has been approved for the regular fingerprinting system used for district employees and vendors. Recommended Action Approve As Submitted Financial Impact None:  Fingerprinting fee paid by volunteer or volunteer agency. Submitted By Neil G. Sanders, Director of Instructional Personnel Services.
